CLIENT CHALLENGE
Our client, a large and global insurance company, was mid-way through the planning and delivery of a large program. The initiative involved several other companies across the industry, and would bring them together to improve automation and speed of insurance quotations and transactions. The project was progressing but was losing the commitment of the other parties, whilst the internal project team was struggling to maintain focus and make progress.
DESCRIPTION
Two of our senior program managers worked closely with the client, their team and the other industry organisations over a period of 6 months. We:
- Re-established a cross-company working group to assist with design and build challenges.
- Created an executive governance structure between the companies involved.
- Ran a number of workshops to resolve issues in project planning and design.
- Coached team members to improve performance.
- Provided a range of ad-hoc program and project management assistance.
OUTCOMES
With our help, the program regained the support of the other companies involved, both at executive and working levels. The project resolved its remaining issues and went live successfully.
